Oaks Day.

…and I’m working. All weekend too, which yeah, means Derby Day as well. Like Harvey Danger said, sometimes you have to work on Christmas.

Thanks to the generosity of friends, I’ll at least be able to share in the music of the occasion, with mixes from Dave, Whitey, and the oft-heralded Dan & Marc post-Derby mix. I’ve downloaded them all and will get them upped to the site here with an extensive “please shut up already” post about the significance of the Derby Mixes at some point soon. For now, you’ll have to wait, because I want to stitch the mixes together so that each one plays seamlessly as one big mp3, which means converting to .wav files, merging them, then converting back to .mp3 and uploading to my site, which means that in the half hour before I have to leave for work I can’t possibly do it, and these probably won’t be ready until after the Derby. Deal with it, yo.

Oh, and Colonel John/Z Fortune/Denis Of Cork is my red hot and live exacta wheel for the race!
